Music is magic that’s really there.
September 11th, 2009 by nickleboyblueHello all!
Welcome to the 10centSunday blog. This is where you can find entries on our songs, projects, concerts, and such. At the moment, we are focusing most of our attention on setting ourselves up on the internet. You can find us on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/pages/10centSunday/74886113677?ref=ts
You can also find us on Myspace: www.myspace.com/10centSunday
I would like to take the time to introduce you to the band members as it stands right now. The band started with two brothers, David and Adam, who decided one day to get together and play guitar. David is the older of the two. He has been in a band since he was sixteen, back when he first was called Trillion Oranges, then Lusus. He considered a band named Lycium, but when the two of us had been playing together long enough, the name 10centSunday stuck better than anything else.
We did a performance in south eastern Arizona last spring that was well attended, with around four hundred people. Let me tell you, there isn’t much that we enjoy more than performing in front of good crowds or recording behind the glass.
Currently, we are trying to incorperate Derek Dodd, a genius of a guitarist, Jordan Detlor, another great guitarist, and Brooke Bingham, a drumer who magicly understands our style, into our band, but due to time restraints, distances, and financial struggles of our day (we all have them!), we haven’t been able to do much yet. We are looking forward to changing that this fall and this coming year with a couple of visits to the recording studio, exposure on local radio, and internet distribution of our music.
We are working on a real album currently. Tracks would include a new and improved recording of Near You and Dreamer, as well as some others:
-Wonder
-Dreamer
-Schizzo
-Our Song
-Symphony
-G-Chord
-Sound of Rain
-Dance Floor
-This is Life
-Buena Vista Social Club
-Move On
These songs have always been favorites of our closest fans since the beginning, and we’re working on visiting the studio soon so that we can make them available to everyone else. In the mean time, you’ll just have to enjoy what we’ve got out there so far.
I would like to thank all the fans who have been with us since the beginning, and wish you all luck in your endeavors. Thank you for your support and friendship. Keep the faith!
